Herb Garden Luncheon

A daytime garden luncheon styled with fresh herbs instead of cut flowers — literally sourced from the host's own backyard.

This one started with the client mentioning, almost in passing, that she had an overgrown herb garden she didn't know what to do with. That became the whole centerpiece strategy — rosemary, mint, and basil bundled into low arrangements instead of a florist order.

Woven placemats and stoneware in warm sage tones keep the palette grounded in the garden setting rather than fighting it. Water glasses got a sprig of mint dropped in each one right before guests sat down — a small touch that took thirty seconds and got the most comments of the whole event.

This is a good template for a client who wants a styled table without a floral budget — herbs from a grocery store bunch do almost the same job.
